The 2009 program is currently under development and we will update events here as they are created. The programs will be a mixture of presentations and panels of industry leaders, technologists, and knowledgeable practitioners. Attendees may be able to learn from home theater equipment manufacturers, display technologists, screen designers, DVD and HD creators, copy protection and A/V interface experts, studio representatives, acoustic scientists and practitioners, audio futurists, filmmakers, and experienced surround sound applications and recording engineers.

Welcome aboard the 2008 Home Theater Cruise. This is your first chance to meet other guests as a group as we welcome you aboard this very special event.

Thank You Party and Elf Auction

Thursday 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Our chance to say goodbye in a very special way. The thank you party is not only our way to thank you for attending this years event, but also a way to help others by bringing home theater to children's hospitals. We host a very special auction for the Elf Foundation where you can bid on special items donated by our event sponsors. It surely is the best way to say thanks.

Hi, I am David Bott and I am happy to be your cruise host for this event. I founded AVS Forum in 1995 which has grown to become the largest dedicated Home Theater community on the Internet today. I have been working with the global public and manufacturers from that time doing my part to help improve home theater. People helping people in Home Theater is the motto.

I am also a seasoned cruiser with 27 sailings to various ports of call. I hope to help make your cruise something to remember and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the trip during sailing.

As your host for this 7th annual event, I wish to thank all the special guests for their help in making this event a memorable experience.

Hi, I am Gary Reber and I am excited about being your cruise co-host for this event. I founded WSR in 1992. Prior to WSR, I served as a business development executive in the consumer electronics industry, producer, and recording engineer for jazz and concert video projects with various labels and HBO, and spent years in academia as a lecturer and a economic development consultant. From the earliest age of nine-years-old, I have activity pursued music as a professional musician and electronics, both related to music and movie reproduction.

I put together the Conference Agenda and will serve as our Conference Moderator in a series of panel discussions with Q&A on subjects related to the latest technologies and issues impacting home theatre and the enthusiast.

My wife Marlene and I are also seasoned cruisers with 16 sailings to various ports of call. We hope to help make your cruise something to remember and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the trip during sailing or before.
